All quotes are valid for 30 days and you can go back to them and buy a policy at any time during this period. You can even amend your details to generate new quotes if you want to make a change. After the 30 days is over you can still view the quotes for reference purposes although the prices will not be valid any more.

Car Excess Insurance - How to make a claim

Should You wish to make a claim under this Policy following an Insured Incident, You must report it to MIS Claims on:-

Within 30 days of an incident occurring that would give rise to a claim

At the time you call we will complete the claim form with you over the telephone. We will then send you the claim form together with an acknowledgement letter by post or email for you to check that all the details recorded are correct.

One you have received a communication confirming your claim number you should send the following:

  1. A copy of your Car Excess Insurance Schedule
  2. A Copy of your excess receipt 
  3. Your settlement letter received from your Motor Insurance Company, which must state the amount settled and the Excess Deducted.

Consumer Insurance (Disclosure and representatives) Act 2012

Under this act it is the duty of the consumer to take reasonable care not to make a misrepresentation to the Insurer either before a Consumer Insurance Contract is entered into or varied.

For the purposes of this Act a qualifying misrepresentation is deliberate or reckless if the consumer:
